A book of condolences will be opened at 12pm at the American Embassy in Ballsbridge, Dublin, following yesterday’s attacks in New York and Washington.

A book of condolences will be opened at 12pm at the American Embassy in Ballsbridge, Dublin, following yesterday’s attacks in New York and Washington.

Wreaths and flowers have already been laid outside the embassy gates as a mark of respect.

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, and the President, Mary McAleese, will be among the first to sign the book this afternoon.
