East Cork Crane Hire is reaching for new heights following an investment of more than £0.5m in new plant and equipment.

One of Munster’s leading crane hire companies, the Middleton company has taken delivery of a new 120 tonne crane which is one of the most modern of its type in the world.

Financing for the new investment was provided by AIB Finance & Leasing.

Founded in 1986 by Tom and Catherine Kelleher, East Cork Crane Hire has grown year on year and now employs 14 people. The company's business is primarily throughout the Cork, Kerry and Waterford regions.

“We now have 10 cranes on full time hire throughout the region. This is a significant investment for our company but it will enable us to remain at the forefront of the Crane Hire business throughout Munster,” said Tom Kelleher, managing director, East Cork Crane Hire Ltd.
