CSO figures show unemployment at 11.1%

Ireland's unemployment rate has fallen yet again.

The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office show 4,700 people came off the Live Register last month.

The fall brings the rate of unemployment down to 11.1%, a fall of 1.5% in the last twelve months.

The number of long-term unemployed has fallen by 5.6%, or 10,493, in the twelve months to September 2014, and stands at 178,388.
