ASTI-Govt talks resume at Labour Court

The ASTI has returned to the Labour Court this afternoon for intensive talks aimed at resolving the six-month dispute over a 30% pay claim.

The ASTI has returned to the Labour Court this afternoon for intensive talks aimed at resolving the six-month dispute over a 30% pay claim.

Speaking before entering, ASTI General Secretary Charlie Lennon warned that the teachers would return to strike action if no progress was made during the discussions.

However, he added that the union was prepared to continue with the talks until all options had been exhausted.
