English wary of Scotland now - Stewart
Scotland international Mattie Stewart believes vengeance will be the buzz word for this year's Calcutta Cup clash at Twickenham.
England were left reeling last April when defeat at Murrayfield cost them a Six Nations Grand Slam in the final game of the competition.
But the Northampton Saints prop insists that although Clive Woodward's team will want revenge, it will not come at an easy price.
"The build-up has been a lot more low-key this year," said Stewart.
"Last year, we lost four games building up to the England game and the England players were a lot more confident and chirpy having not lost to Scotland for 10 years.
"So, when it actually happened, they couldn't really believe it. We gave them some stick afterwards because we owed them.
"They know now that we can beat them so they will be approaching the game with a little more fear. They want revenge, but we know we can play against them.
"We have got Simon Taylor back, which is a big bonus, and we have got loads of people who can step in and do the job."
Recalling last year, he added: "There was no fear within the camp all week through training. There was no pressure on us to perform.
"We just got down and got stuck in from the early stages of the game and really competed for every last bit of turf. We just wanted it more on the day and that showed."
