An Irish student remains critical but stable in a US hospital after being attacked with a baseball bat.

An Irish student remains critical but stable in a US hospital after being attacked with a baseball bat.

Natasha McShane, 23, was with a friend when they were attacked in the early hours of Friday morning on the way home from a night out in Chicago.

Ms McShane, from Silverbridge in Armagh, is a postgraduate student from University College Dublin who is studying at the University of Illinois.

Her parents have travelled from south Armagh to be by their daughter's bedside.
