An Post has suspended more workers at its Dublin mail centre due to their refusal to operate new sorting machines that they claim were introduced without consultation.

The company said this morning that a total of 508 workers had now been suspended as part of the dispute.

An Post has claimed the employees were refusing to implement their part of an agreement on cost-cutting and pay reform.

The company has advised members of the public in Dublin not to post any mail until further notice as it cannot guarantee delivery.
