Residents of Dublin region have highest disposable incomes

People living in the greater Dublin area have the highest levels of disposable income in Ireland, according to figures published by the Central Statistics Office today.

People living in the greater Dublin area have the highest levels of disposable income in Ireland, according to figures published by the Central Statistics Office today.

The CSO said disposable incomes in the Dublin region were 13.4% above the national average in 2002.

At the other end of the scale, incomes in the border, midlands and western region were lowest in 2002 - 10.2% below the national average.

The CSO said a breakdown of the figures showed that the only counties where residents have disposable incomes above the national average were Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow and Limerick.
