Three men are due in court this morning, charged in connection with the murder of an elderly man in Co Offaly earlier this year.

Three men are due in court this morning, charged in connection with the murder of an elderly man in Co Offaly earlier this year.

Thomas Dooley, aged 64, was found dead in his home in Sister Senan Court in Edenderry on February 16.

He had sustained injuries to his head and body.

Three men in their early 20s were arrested this morning in Dublin, Kildare and Offaly in connection with the investigation.

They are due before Tullamore District Court shortly.
