Fine Gael TD Padraig McCormack has announced a u-turn in his decision not to contest the next General Election.

Fine Gael TD Padraig McCormack has announced a u-turn in his decision not to contest the next General Election.

The Galway West TD had decided during the summer to quit the Dáil at next year's election.

However, he has now changed his mind and says he will attempt to retain his seat in what is one of the most competitive constituencies in the country.
