An Bord Pleanala to hear objections to Mayo gas terminal

An Bord Pleanala will begin to hear an appeal today into the location of an onshore gas terminal in Co Mayo.

An Bord Pleanala will begin to hear an appeal today into the location of an onshore gas terminal in Co Mayo.

Mayo county council has already approved the development.

The appeal in Ballina will hear objections from Duchas, An Taisce and a local residents group.

The company behind the terminal, Enterprise Energy Ireland, claim the project will help attract industry to the west.
