Elano 'in talks with Inter'

Inter Milan are in talks with Manchester City over Elano, according to the Brazil midfielder.

Elano has had a mixed season at Eastlands and has continuously been linked with a move away from the club after spending most of the first half of the season on the bench.

The 27-year-old found his form towards the end of the campaign but is likely to fall further down the pecking order following the arrival of Gareth Barry.

Elano has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Inter coach Jose Mourinho.

“There are ongoing negotiations and I hope the Inter directors will go right to the end,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport. “I want to wear the Inter shirt.”

Elano signed a four-year contract at City when he moved from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2007.
