Police in the north are treating as murder the death of 65-year-old William Kennedy in Co Antrim.

Police in the north are treating as murder the death of 65-year-old William Kennedy in Co Antrim.

The former RUC officer's body was discovered by his daughter at his home in Brookfield Gardens, Ahoghill yesterday morning.

Police described the attack as "brutal" but didn't believe it was related to the dead man's previous profession with the RUC.
