The High Court has been told that a "measure of agreement" has been reached between aid agency GOAL and its chief executive John O'Shea.

On Tuesday Mr O'Shea's lawyers went into court and secured an injuction stopping the charity from suspending him.

Lawyers for GOAL and John O'Shea are now engaged in talks having told the court they have already reached a "measure of agreement".

Mr Justice Roderick Murphy will be given a progress report around lunchtime and GOAL's legal team is hoping they will not have to trouble the court again.

Earlier this week Mr O'Shea secured an interim injunction restraining the charity from suspending him or taking steps in relation to his employment.

The court was told the founder and chief excecutive rejects as "false" and "concocted" complaints against his behaviour and allegations of a culture of "institutionalised bullying" at GOAL.

He also claimed there had been "concerted action" to remove him from the organisation.
