Gardaí investigate overnight hit-and-run in Ennis
Gardaí in Co Clare are investigating a hit and run incident in Ennis last night.
It occurred at 4.10am on the Causway link roundabout near the town centre.
The victim, a male pedestrian is currently being treated in Limerick Regional Hospital.
The extent of his injuries is not known.
The driver, a 21-year-old male, was arrested at the scene but has been subsequently released from Garda custody.
