Opposition parties have expressed their concerns ahead of Minister for Finance Charlie McCreevy's Budget today.

Fine Gael's spokesperson Richard Bruton wants the Budget to deliver strong initiatives on health and public services.

Deputy Bruton maintains that all the omens are pointing in a negative direction and that the public will end up paying higher charges and higher taxes rather than any type of reform taking place.
