A post-mortem examination has been carried out on the body of a woman discovered in Dublin yesterday.
The body of the woman, who has not been formally identified, was discovered near Ballymun Road in the north of the city where searches for missing woman Margaret 'Peggy' Mangan were taking place.
Gardaí said no details about the cause of death have been made public.
The remains were discovered at around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon at the Ballymun Road along with a dog which was standing near them. The dog died shortly after being taken to a vet for treatment.
Gardaí are waiting on the results of the post mortem before formally identifying the body.
The search for 64-year-old Peggy, who has Alzheimer's disease, has now been suspended.
She left her home in Terenure in south Dublin to go for a walk with her dog last Tuesday and has been missing since.
