A man and a teenager have died in separate overnight road accidents in counties Kildare and Antrim.

A man and a teenager have died in separate overnight road accidents in counties Kildare and Antrim.

The man died after the car he was driving crashed into a parked truck on the N7 in Co Kildare this morning.

The accident happened at around 3am, when the man collided with a truck parked on the hard shoulder between the Newbridge and Naas exits.

In Co Antrim, meanwhile, a 17-year-old man died when the car he was driving left the road and hit a tree in Whiteabbey at around 10.30pm last night.
