Young motorist killed in Tipperary car crash

A motorist aged in his early 20s has died after his vehicle and a truck were in collision, gardaí said tonight.

A motorist aged in his early 20s has died after his vehicle and a truck were in collision, gardaí said tonight.

The incident occurred at Kilmastulla, Birdhill, Co Tipperary at 4.15pm.

The body of the dead man was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital, where a post mortem examination will take place.

The driver of the truck was taken by ambulance to Nenagh General Hospital to be treated for shock. There were no other injuries in the collision.

“The N7 road at the scene remains closed while gardaí carry out forensic crash scene examinations,” a garda spokesman said.
