Chelsea have joined the hunt to bring Czech international Jan Koller to the Premiership.
Koller is reportedly keen to move from Anderlecht, despite the fact that they are six points clear at the top of the Belgian league and almost guaranteed a place in the Champions League next season. Anderlecht president Roger van den Stock told the Sunday Mirror that he has met Chelsea bosses to discuss a possible transfer.
"We have had two discussions with Chelsea about Jan," van den Stock said.
"They are very interested in him and they have money to spend." Earlier this month, Sunderland manager Peter Reid inquired about the 6ft 8in striker, but was put off by Anderlecht's £12 million asking price.
Koller played for the Czech Republic in their 1-0 win over Northern Ireland at Windsor Park yesterday and helped his country to a strong position in Group Three of the World Cup qualifying stages by scoring twice against Iceland last October.
