The judiciary are being called on to extend a tribunal on Garda misconduct in Donegal.

The judiciary are being called on to extend a tribunal on Garda misconduct in Donegal.

Fine Gael want to see the tribunal enlarged to include the mishandling of the Frank Shortt case and several other issues under investigation in the north west.

Fine Gael senator Jim Higgins maintains that the Morris Tribunal must include the recently decided Shortt case.

There are also calls to include the investigation into the burning of the Central Hotel in Bundoran after the proprietor complained that gardai interfered with the evidence.
