Seneschalstown attacker Joe Sheridan is winning his race to to be fit for Meath's All-Ireland SFC third round qualifier against Laois on Saturday (Pairc Tailteann, throw-in 6pm).
Sheridan sustained a groin injury during the Royals' win over Roscommon two weeks ago, but is expected to take part in training tonight.
Full-forward Sheridan is Meath's second top scorer in the 2006 championship with 1-11. Daithi Regan, who lined out at right corner forward against Roscommon, has shot 0-18 so far.
Meanwhile, the Meath County Board has agreed a new sponsorship deal with Lucozade Sport. Under the agreement, Lucozade Sport will provide soft drinks and other products for Meath players across all grades.
It is Meath GAA's second sponsorship deal in the space of nine months. The Menolly Group, owned by Longford native Seamus Ross, replaced Kepak as the Royal County's main jersey sponsors last October.
