Two men have appeared in court in Cavan, in connection with the death of a Romanian man last weekend.

Two men have appeared in court in Cavan, in connection with the death of a Romanian man last weekend.

The victim, who was in his 40s, was stabbed at his home on Saturday night.

Two Polish men, both aged 34 and with addresses in the town, were brought before Cavan District Court earlier today.

Marcin Kalinowski and Prezemyslaw Trevvacz were charged with a number of offences including threatening to kill, trespassing and criminal damage.

Both men were remanded in custody to appear before Harristown District Court on Friday, October 19.
