Everton are likely to be without both their teenage strikers James Vaughan and Victor Anichebe for Sunday’s home clash with Charlton.
Vaughan severed an artery in his ankle at Bolton on Monday and could be out for a month, while Anichebe is struggling with a thigh injury.
It means boss David Moyes must decide whether to recall James Beattie up front, or to reinstate James McFadden, who has been out with a broken metatarsal until recently. Manuel Fernandes is still doubtful with a calf problem.
Everton provisional squad: Howard, Hibbert, Yobo, Stubbs, Lescott, Naysmith, Arteta, Carsley, Neville, Osman, Beattie, Johnson, McFadden, Wright, De Silva, Vidarsson, Valente.
