North: Pipe bomb blast on doorstep

Detectives are hunting two men today after a pipe bomb exploded on the doorstep of a house in Co Antrim.

Detectives are hunting two men today after a pipe bomb exploded on the doorstep of a house in Co Antrim.

The blast caused minor damage to the front of the property in the Dunvale area of the Dunclug estate in Ballymena.

Police said no one was injured when the crude device exploded at around 9.15pm.

It is believed two men were seen running on the Black Path towards the Cushendall Road shortly after the incident.
