The sides swapped penalties but it's Bray who'll be the happier as they edge a point nearer safety. Galway, though, are still very much in danger of getting sucked into the bottom two.

Alan Cawley put Bray in front on 34 minutes when slotting home from the spot after Paul Dunphy had been taken down by Galway keeper Gary Rogers.

The lead latest just six minutes, however, as Ray Kenny was penalised for a foul on John Lester and Stephen O'Flynn fired home their penalty.
