Report: Former Russian president Yeltsin dies

Former Russian President Boris Yeltsin has died aged 76, a Kremlin official said today.

Former Russian President Boris Yeltsin has died aged 76, a Kremlin official said today.

Kremlin spokesman Alexander Smirnov told The Associated Press news agency that Yeltsin had died.

Mr Smirnov gave no cause of death or further information.
