A family syndicate who won €1.35m in the lottery today said they would reinvest some of their winnings in Friday’s Euromillions Jackpot of €80m.
The six-member team collected their winnings from the National Lottery today after scooping the prize in the Lotto draw on Saturday June 18.
The Dublin family, who purchased their winning ticket in the Spar on South Circular Road in Dublin 8, said they would use some of the cash to try their hand at winning Friday’s record jackpot.
The syndicate, who have decided to remain anonymous, also plan to spend some of the money on holidays, new cars, home improvement and buying holiday homes.
“Different members of the syndicate were on holidays at different times and we decided to wait until everybody was together to call in and collect our prize,” said one of the winners.
“We plan to reinvest some of our winnings in Friday night’s Euromillions Jackpot of over €80m.
“Now that our luck is in, we’ll give it a good go,” he said.
