Padraig Harrington turned a storming finish of birdie-eagle to his third round to finish at 10 under par and is just two strokes off the overnight lead going into the last day's play at the European Open at the K-Club.
Harrington dropped back to seven under after bogeys at the 14th and 15th but the three strokes picked up over the last two holes gave him a round of 69 and brings him back into contention.
A birdie at the 18th gave Mikael Lundberg the overnight lead at 12 under.
Joint second and one shot behind are Henrik Bjornstad and Jarmo Sandelin, who returned a seven birdie 65.
Harrington is in fourth place on his own.
Darren Clarke suffered a double-bogey seven at the 17th hole after driving into the water, but pulled one back at the 18th for a round of 71 to be nine under.
He lies one stroke ahead of Michael Campbell, Ian Woosnam, Constantino Rocca and Paul Casey, while a roun dof 65, which is equal best of the tournament, brought Tomas Bjorn to seven under - the same as Colin Montgomerie and four other players, with 18 holes to play in the championship.
