Miscarriage misdiagnosis helpline gets nearly 300 calls

Almost 300 women have made contact with a helpline in the wake of the misdiagnosis of a miscarriage in the North East.

In the days after the case from Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, dozens more women came forward from across the country outlining similar cases.

Minister Mary Harney has told the Dáil that the overwhelming majority of the calls to the helpline relate to the County Louth hospital.
