One man has died and four other people have been injured after three separate road accidents in Tipperary and Clare.

One man has died and four other people have been injured after three separate road accidents in Tipperary and Clare.

A 38-year-old man was killed when the Jeep he was driving collided with a wall at Mortlestown, in Cahir Co Tipperary.

In Clare, three people had to be cut from their vehicles after a two-car collision at Ministers Cross near Bunratty at around midnight.

Some are believed to be in a serious condition in hospital this afternoon.

In a separate incident, a man has been left fighting for his life in hospital after he was hit by a car on the Tulla Kilkishen road at around 11.45pm last night.
