A man has been arrested following a stabbing incident in Ballymena this morning.

A man has been arrested following a stabbing incident in Ballymena this morning.

A 25-year-old man received serious injuries after he was stabbed in the chest and hand on the Larne road shortly after 6am.

Police have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with the attack.

They are not treating the incident as sectarian.
