About 18 buses were damaged in an overnight attack at an Ulsterbus depot in Co Antrim, police said today.
Officers said about 40 windows were smashed in the vehicles which were parked at the depot in Galgorm Road in Ballymena.
Ulsterbus district manager Sam Todd said seating in the vehicles was also ripped and destroyed.
Mr Todd said staff were working overtime to ensure services for the public were not affected.
“We have been able to fulfil our full service as normal. With it being Saturday, we don’t actually require just as many vehicles,” Mr Todd told Radio Ulster.
The district manager said engineers were already working to repair the damage done to some of the vehicles.
“Engineering are currently working on the vehicles so come Monday morning, we will be able to provide a full service as normal,” he said.
A PSNI spokesman appealed for anyone with information on the overnight attack to contact the police.
