Galway sub Alan Murphy hit a hat-trick but it wasn't enough as Bray moved a big step closer to Premier Division survial.

Murphy hit his first on 54 minutes to level Barry O'Connor's 48th minute opener.

But Phil Keogh restored Bray's lead within a minute before Eddie Gormely scored the first of his barce with a free kick on the hour.

Murphy forced home a Sean Malee cross on 64 minutes, but Gormley made it 4-2 three minutes later with his second.

A terrific free kick form Murphy gave him his hat-trick on 86 minutes but Colm Tresson added Bray's fifth in the final seconds.
