Bellamy admits he could yet join Blackburn

Craig Bellamy has hinted the lure of working with Mark Hughes again could tempt him to join Blackburn Rovers.

Craig Bellamy has hinted the lure of working with Mark Hughes again could tempt him to join Blackburn Rovers.

Celtic manager Martin O’Neill wants the striker to make his loan move from Newcastle permanent in the summer but he fears that the standard of Scottish football could force him to return to the Premiership or even go abroad.

Bellamy will consider his options at the end of the season but the chance to team up with his former Wales manager again could thwart O’Neill’s hopes of landing him.

He said: “I know the coaching staff at Blackburn and they are great people. I am very fortunate to have worked with Mark Hughes with Wales but I will see what my options are in the summer.”
