85 jobs are to go in Co Donegal and the same number in Co Tyrone with cutbacks by the Herdman Mills textiles company.

85 jobs are to go in Co Donegal and the same number in Co Tyrone with cutbacks by the Herdman Mills textiles company.

The company is scaling back operations at its plant in Ballybofey and its factory at Sion Mills.

Hundreds of jobs have been lost in the textile industry in recent years and more are expected to go because of low cost competition from the Far East and North Africa.
