Gardaí appeal for information about Dublin murder

Gardaí in Dublin have issued a renewed appeal for information about a fatal shooting in Dublin's north inner city a year ago.

Twenty-one-year-old Gavin McCarthy died after being shot a number of times as he stood outside a fast-food outlet on Sheriff Street in October 2008.

The gunman, who is believed to have been a teenager, cycled up to the victim before opening fire with a handgun.

Three people have been arrested in relation to the killing, but no charges have been brought.

Gardaí at Store Street Station are appealing for anyone with any information about the case to make contact with them.
