Gardaí investigate fire at Cork city centre shop

Gardaí in Co Cork are investigating a fire which caused serious damage to a city centre shop last night.

Gardaí in Co Cork are investigating a fire which caused serious damage to a city centre shop last night.

It is understood that the blaze broke out at Twomey's Shop on Cornmarket Street just after 7pm.

Six units of the Cork City Fire Brigade attended the scene, and no one was injured.

It is not yet known what cause the fire.
