Fresh allegations awaiting Burke at Flood Tribunal

Ray Burke is expected to be questioned about new "bags of money" allegations when he takes the stand at the Flood Tribunal later today.

Ray Burke is expected to be questioned about new "bags of money" allegations when he takes the stand at the Flood Tribunal later today.

The former Foreign Affairs and Communications Minister has been called to give evidence on the same day as former colleague James Geraghty, who alleged at the weekend that he had witnessed Deputy Burke receiving bags of money on two separate occasions.

A sworn affidavit from Mr Geraghty claims that he witnessed a man handing a carrier bag full of cash to Ray Burke in the TD's constituency office in the mid-80s.

The former minister is expected to deny all allegations.
