Charlton have agreed a fee for Denmark winger Dennis Rommedahl with Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.
The 25-year-old will be able to hold talks with a view to finalising the move as soon as his country’s interest ends in Euro 2004.
“We are delighted that we have reached an agreement for the transfer of Dennis,” said Addicks chief executive Peter Varney.
“He is a world-class player and one that has performed particularly well in the 2002 World Cup finals and in the current European Championships.
“It is especially pleasing for us because we know there has been interest in Dennis from across Europe, as well as from other Premiership clubs.”
