Fine Gael is calling for the Minister for Health to intervene in a dispute, which could see a number of residential care centres being closed.

Fine Gael is calling for the Minister for Health to intervene in a dispute, which could see a number of residential care centres being closed.

Relatives have received letters informing them that people in the centres will be sent home next Monday January 21.

Fine Gael’s spokesperson on Equality and Family Affairs, Frances Fitzgerald, says time is running out to resolve the row.

She is calling on Minister Michael Martin to make every effort to reach an agreement.
