Gardaí are investigating a shooting incident in Dublin.

A 33 year old man was shot in the leg during an incident on Le Fanu Road in Ballyfermot at around 12.10am.

He was taken to St James' Hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Gardaí in Ballyfermot are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
