Fake bishop 'Basilius' kicked out of Vatican cardinals meeting

A fake bishop has been kicked out of a meeting of cardinals in the Vatican.

The Italian man dressed up in false ecclesiastical robes was escorted out of the meeting by Swiss Guards earlier today.

The man had told reporters that his name was "Basilius" and that he was a member of the "Italian Orthodox Church", which does not exist.

He was wearing a purple scarf around his waist and he shook hands and chatted with priests and cardinals arriving at the meeting.
