Student grants to go up by 10%
Over 56,000 third-level students are to see their maintenance grant increase by 10% in September.
This brings the basic grant level to almost €3,500 for an academic year.
"For the most disadvantaged students, their grant will be increased even more and will come to €6,700. So that will be a significant increase," said Minister for Education Mary Hanafin.
