Gardaí appeal for witnesses to fatal Cavan accident
Gardaí in Cavan are appealing for witnesses to a road accident in the county last night which claimed the lives of a father and daughter.
The man was in his 60s and his daughter is believed to have been in her 30s.
Both died instantly when the jeep in which they were travelling collided with a truck at Bunn near Belturbet, at about 7.30pm.
The woman's mother sustained serious injuries and is being treated at Cavan General Hospital.
The driver of the truck is also being treated for minor injuries.
