Man shot several times in Belfast ‘punishment attack’

A man is recovering in hospital this morning after being shot several times during a paramilitary-style "punishment attack" in east Belfast last night.

A man is recovering in hospital this morning after being shot several times during a paramilitary-style "punishment attack" in east Belfast last night.

The victim was shot in the arm and both legs during the attack in the Park Avenue area.

The PSNI is investigating whether a burning car found a short distance away in Avaniel Street was linked to the shooting.
