Fine Gael TD John Deasy's future in the party will become clearer later today as he is due to meet with leader Enda Kenny.

Fine Gael TD John Deasy's future in the party will become clearer later today as he is due to meet with leader Enda Kenny.

Deputy Deasy broke ranks in the Dáil yesterday and voted in favour of the Government's Immigration Bill.

The Waterford TD was subsequently summoned to a meeting with Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny, who asked him to think about his actions overnight and consider his position in the party.
