The ISEQ index of Irish shares fell 11.24 points to 2,937.21 by 11.20am this morning, a drop of 0.38%.
Among the fallers, CRH shed 0.54c to €16.13; Tullow Oil dropped 30c to €13.70 and Ryanair fell 2c to €3.90.
Banking stocks were also on the back foot, with AIB down 3c to €0.91, Bank of Ireland shedding 2c to €0.73 and Irish Life & Permanent 2c off at €1.49.
On the risers' board, Glanbia added 6c to €3.18 following a postive trading statement ahead of H1 results, while Smurfit Kappa climbed 38c or 5.26% to €7.58 and Aryzta was up €1.15 or 3.63% to €32.80.
