Geraghty bolsters Royals' attack
Former All-Ireland-winning captain Graham Geraghty has been listed at left corner forward in the Meath team to take on Dublin in Sunday's Leinster SFC quarter-final tie at Croke Park, throw-in at 4pm.
Geraghty, who failed in his bid to elected as a TD in the Meath West constituency last week, is one of two changes Royals boss Colm Coyle has made to the side that beat Kildare 2-11 to 1-8 in the first round.
He replaces the suspended Brian Farrell, while Peter Curran also comes in for Niall McLoughlin at right half-forward.
Teenager Shane O'Rourke, the son of Meath legend and RTE pundit Colm, has been added to the Meath bench for this weekend's eagerly-anticipating clash, after some excellent performances for his club Simonstown and the county's minors.
O'Rourke's first cousin, John Barry O'Reilly, who plays his club football with St. Michael's, has also been drafted into the Meath panel.
Although Dublin, the reigning Leinster champions, have the edge on their neighbours in overall championship meetings, Meath have succeeded in winning three of the sides' last five SFC fixtures.
However, Dublin won the sides' two most recent SFC clashes - in 2002 and 2005 - and are favoured to progress through to a Leinster semi-final against either Offaly or Carlow.
Meanwhile, Croke Park officials have confirmed that Sunday's double bill at Croke Park - Louth v Wicklow and Dublin v Meath - will be a sell-out. All tickets have issued and based on sales in the counties and by the Leinster Council, no returns are expected. In excess of 82,000 supporters are expected to be in attendance.
