The High Court will decide on July 3 if documents filed by Liam Lawlor TD meet the requirements of lawyers at the Flood Tribunal.

The High Court will decide on July 3 if documents filed by Liam Lawlor TD meet the requirements of lawyers at the Flood Tribunal.

The Court was told today that Deputy Lawlor presented full affidavits on May 15, as requested by Judge Thomas Smyth earlier this year.

Failure by Mr Lawlor to do so could have seen his return to prison.

Tribunal lawyers have asked today for time to consider whether privilege sought by Mr Lawlor on certain documents is legally sound.

They also wish to review the documents to see that they meet the tribunal’s requirements and to ascertain whether further evidence is required from the embattled Dublin deputy.
